![]() The easiest way to measure First Input Delay for your website is to use PageSpeed Insights. It involves me recording at 60FPS, using Zero Suit Samus (fastest attack in the game Frame 1), and after recording I count the frames individually after a button press. First Input Delay can be difficult to measure because you need to collect data based on your site’s real visitors, unlike other performance metrics where you can just run simulated tests using a computer. ![]() Below are 2 of my tests one on Yuzu and the other on console. I'd say about half a frame to a full frame slower on Yuzu. Another way I made sure that this was happening is when I would type in game chat it would spam. Most monitors have low enough input lag that you won't notice any delay during regular desktop use, but it's even more important for competitive gamers to achieve the lowest input lag possible. All of these devices have a small delay and it varies between the specific device, polling rate, and connection type. Input lag on a monitor is the time it takes the monitor to process the signal sent and for the image to start appearing on screen. We have a controller, mouse, or keyboard connected through Bluetooth, USB, or Wi-Fi. For example if im pressing D and then start press A it would keep me going D for a few extra seconds before catching up. The hardware you use can be a factor for the perceived input lag. ![]() In this recent patch it was claimed to reduce input lag even further, and in my testing it does show that it is true however unfortunately it is still slower then console. About a week ago while playing rust I started experiencing delay or lag. Before it was pretty bad compared to console but through numerous efforts of the devs it has been getting better and better. The delay in which between you press a button and an action comes out on the screen. Change the Keyboard Properties Changing a few keyboard properties may help resolve the input lag. A long issue that the Yuzu emulator has had for a while was input latency.
